When our son, Adam, was a small boy he liked to play with blocks. I can see him in the garage with my Dad playing with the blocks my Dad made for the kids. Over the years you could see his building skills improve. He started out as a baby putting one on top of the other. The taller it would get the wobblier it would be. Timber! It fell down. He would look up in surprise with a "What happened?" look on his face. But as he grew he learned to build a firm foundation first. Are you going through life like a tower of building blocks? Are you trying not to topple over? Every house needs a firm foundation. Let the Master Carpenter fix yours. Whosoever cometh to me and heareth my sayings, and doeth them, I will shew you to whom he is like. He is like a man which built an house , and digged deep, and laid the foundation on rock; and when the flood arose, the stream beat vehemently upon that house, and could not shake it; for it was founded upon a rock. But he that heareth, and doeth not, is like a man that without foundation built an house upon the earth; against which the stream did beat vehemently, and immediately it fell; and the ruin of that house was great. Luke 6:47-49 Adam 1973 Our little builder. He's still building. A family, a home, & love. He has his foundation on The Rock.
