Celebrate the Word of God
As I looked through the concordance for the word faith,
I found only two mentions in The Old Testament.
I thought that was interesting.
Faith Verse for Success
I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.
Trust in the Lord with all thine heart, and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him and he shall direct thy path.
We need so little
If ye have faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye shall say unto this mountain,
Remove hence to yonder place; and it shall move;
and nothing shall me impossible unto you.
Verses on Thoughts
Even our thoughts need forgiven.
Repent therefore of this thy wickedness, and pray God,
if perhaps the thoughts of thine hearts may be forgiven thee.
Do not ye understand that whatsoever enterth in at the mouth goeth into the belly and is cast out into the draught? But those things which proceed out of the mouth come forth from the heart; and they defile man. For out of the heart proceed evil thoughts...
It is important to think on good things.
Let the words of my mouth and the meditaion of my heart,
be acceptable in thy sight, O Lord, my strength and my redeemer.
Let all bitterness, and wrath, and anger, and clamor, and evil speaking, be put away from you with all malice. And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ sake hath forgiven you.
Instead of dwelling on the negative "what if's", dwell on what is of the Lord.
Even in bad times dwell on the joy the Lord has given you.
And you will find comfort there in Him.
In the multitude of my thoughts within me thy comforts delight my soul.
This tells us what we should think on.
Finally brethren, whatsover things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.
Don't borrow sorrow.
Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof.
Whatsoever ye do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God and the Father by him.
Let your speech be alway with grace, seasoned with salt,
that ye may know how ye ought to answer every man.
Lovely thoughts bring this.
A merry heart maketh a cheerful countenance...
That ye put off concerning the former conversation the old man, which is corrupt according to the deceitful lusts. And be renewed in the spirit of the mind. And that ye put on the new man, which after God is created in righteouness and true holiness.
