Chocolate Sundae
Pudding Cake

My Sister-In-Law, Beth, made this for my birthday in 1985.
It's been one of my favorites ever since.

Ingredients:

1 1/2 cups sifted flour
3 tsps. baking powder
1 1/2 tsps. salt
3 tablsp. cocoa
1 cup sugar
3/4 cup milk
3 tsps. vanilla
3/4 cup chopped nuts
3 tblsps. melted butter
Ingredients for topping:

1/2 cup brown sugar
1 cup sugar
6 tblsps. cocoa
1/2 tsp. salt
2 tsps. vanilla
2 cups of boiling water

Directions for first set of ingredients:

Sift flour, baking powder, salt, cocoa and sugar together.
Add milk, nuts, butter, and vanilla; blend well.
Pour into greased 2 quart casserole.
Cover with topping mixture.

Directions for topping mixture:

Combine sugar, cocoa, salt and vanilla.
Spread evenly over cake mixture.
Pour boiling water over entire mixture.
DO NOT STIR.

Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour.

Top with whip cream or ice cream.

Share with a friend it's so good!

Note: You may need a little larger dish to bake in.
I have adjusted this recipe and I've forgotten the exact size I use.

Have fun with a friend and enjoy.

Leave a note so I'll know you were here.
