He isn't much in the eyes of the world,
He'll never make history.
No he isn't much in the eyes of the world,
But he is the world to me.

My Dad, now here is a man,
To me he is everything strong,
No he can't do wrong,
My Dad.

My Dad, now he understands,
When I bring him troubles to share
Oh, he's always there,
My Dad.

When I was small I felt ten feet tall
When I walked by his side.
And everyone would say "That's his son."
And My heart would burst with pride.

My Dad, Oh, I love him so.
And I only hope that some day
My own son will say,
"My Dad, now here is a man."

My Dad

My Dad
This is how I remember my Dad, always in overalls.
The place he worked at the time this was taken had an open house recently.
A neighbor brought this picture to my Mother. I will cherish it.

I was always Daddy's Little Girl. And I felt really special when I was with my Dad. This song was sung by Paul Peterson on the Donna Reed Show. When I heard it as a kid it said just how I felt about my Dad. You don't have to be a son to appreciate what it says about your Dad.
I lost my Dad in 1976 but in my heart I'm still Daddy's Little Girl. He was a loving man who was always willing to lend a helping hand. And I thank God I had him with me as long as I did. But he's in my heart always.

If you can, take a moment to tell your Dad what he means to you.

For My Dad

Time is a gift we've all been given,
Each has the same hours in a day.
Some are blessed far beyond measure;
They learn to use it God's way.

My Dad was a man who always had time,
For family and friends and strangers.
For someone in need he'd do all that he could
To help and protect them from danger.

He was never to busy to hold a child,
He always took time to play.
He made building blocks, gave horsey rides,
And gave his love away.

Though he's been gone for many a year
His love was here to stay.
He took time to tend the little things,
So the memories never fade.

Love you Daddy,
Rooney
