Teething Biscuits



A treat for our little ones!



Ingredients:

2 Tblsp. shortening
1/2 cup sugar
1 egg
1 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp salt
1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
1 tsp. water extra if needed
1 1/2 cup favorite baby cereal



Directions:

Preheat oven to 300 degrees.

Cream shortening and sugar. add egg, baking soda, salt, vanilla, and water. Mix until well blended. Gradually add baby cereal. Knead until smooth. Roll out and cut into bars or use a cookie cutter. Smooth edges so they aren't sharp and hurt baby's gums. Place on ungreased baking sheet and bake for about 20-30 minutes or until dry. Store in an uncovered container overnight.

Makes about a dozen biscuits
