Make your friend a special treat!!!



Carmel & Chocolate Pecan Bars


Ingredients for Crust:

2 cups flour
1 cup packed brown sugar
1/2 cup butter softened
1 cup pecans


Ingredients for Filling:

2/3 cup butter
1/2 cup packed brown sugar
1 cup chocolate chips


Directions:

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

     Mix all crust ingredients except pecans until fine. Press into bottom of a 13x9 inch pan. Sprinkle pecans over crust. In a saucepan, heat brown sugar and butter on medium heat until entire surface boils , stirring constantly. Continue boiling for only one minute stirring constantly. Remove from heat and pour over pecans and crust. Bake 18-22 min. or until whole top layer is bubbly. Remove from oven and sprinkle with chocolate chips. Swirl chocolate chips when they begin to melt. I like milk choclate chips. Allow to cool.
